　　吉安市技工学校是培养高、中级技能型人才的基地，于1987年经江西省人民政府批准成立，属政府办学、由吉安市劳动和社会保障局主管的“国家级重点技工学校”。学校的主要职责是：负责全市技工学历教育规划和组织实施工作，招收初中或高中毕业生进行全日制的技术培训，主要开设应用电子技术、模具设计与制造、数控技术、计算机应用与维修、电子商务与市场营销、电脑会计与文秘、电子电工等十多个专业，培养适应经济建设和社会发展需要的具有复合技能的初、中、高级技术工人；同时承担各类社会培训工作任务，面向全市下岗失业职工进行再就业培训，面向全市农村剩余劳动力就近就地转移培训，面向社会开展计算机的职业技能鉴定和会计电算化考证等工作。
